Powerlink Solutions
Combining PSCAD modeling, field data analysis, and professional training to advance engineering support through digital twins.

Power System Analysis
We use PSCAD for electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulation to examine fast power system transients in detail beyond conventional RMS-based analysis.

Power Quality Measurement
We measure power quality with high-precision power analyzers and convert recorded data to COMTRADE format for analysis alongside PSCAD simulations.

Monitoring and Diagnostics
We combine PSCAD models with Python-based data analysis to assess equipment behavior and condition, establishing an analytical foundation for digital twin applications.

Circulating Currents and Distributed Generation Integration
We examine transformer core configurations and winding connections for utility supply and generation systems. System modeling helps distinguish circulating currents from leakage currents and identify measures to address equipment faults and efficiency issues.

Electric Shock and Arc Flash Risk Assessment
We assess electric shock and arc flash hazards in electrical installations. Our evaluations consider protective device clearing times, arc energy, and available short-circuit levels to support equipment protection and personnel safety criteria.

Dynamic Equipment Rating and Life Assessment
We analyze dynamic equipment ratings and assess service life to inform operating strategies.

Advancing EPR and Power Metering through Our Patents
Powerlink uses its patented grounding and earth-leakage protection device for ungrounded outlets (Korean Patent No. 10-1779363)as a core technology for EPR. Together with its bidirectional metering device and method for Scott-connected transformers (Korean Patent No. 10-1586460),the company continues to develop its technology portfolio in electrical safety and power metering.
Five Technology Transfers from KEPCO Completed
Powerlink has completed five technology transfers from Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). We combine the transferred technologies with field-focused R&D to advance their practical application and improve our power engineering services.
Dynamic Rating, Condition Assessment, and Life Evaluation
How much load can equipment carry? What is its condition? How should its service life be managed? Powerlink offers engineering support that combines dynamic rating studies with transformer condition assessment and life evaluation. We review operating conditions and available data to agree on the scope and assessment methods.
CEO Dong-Yeol Shin’s R&D work includes inventions relating to a system for transformer condition assessment (Korean Patent No. 10-2713305)and a system for transformer life management (Korean Patent No. 10-2712170).
According to the patent certificates provided, KEPCO owns both patents, and Dong-Yeol Shin is the inventor.
